I Wanna Be a Cowboy...

...and you can be my cowgirl!  Do y'all remember that song?
I don't remember much of it besides those two lines, but it pops in my head whenever I put my cowboy boots on ;-)

Some of our family has been visiting this week.  I haven't had much time for blogging, but I've had lots of opportunities to wear not only my hiking boots but also my cowboy boots.  Here I am with my daughter and sister-in-law.

Our last night all together in Montana was spent along the banks of the Gallatin River enjoying hayrides, volleyball, and BBQ dinner with s'mores at 320 Guest Ranch.  The kids had a great time making s'mores and sharing their creations with the adults.

I finished some more shoofly blocks...need to find the others to see how many I have in total.  I still think I am short of the number needed.  I see more cutting in my future.

Well, I'll definitely be doing some cutting and sewing this weekend at my second quilt retreat at Gruber's.  I am super excited to see my sister (check out her new blog) who is attending this year, quilty friends made last year (including Shelly who wears HER cowboy boots even while sewing), and two new (to me) quilty bloggers!  I'm sure I will have lots to share next week....stay tuned ;-)

Have an amazing day!!!

  7. Great boots! I love cowboy boots. My husband has something like 11 pairs. He wants to be a cowboy, too. We lived out west for 10 years, and he has lived out there longer...closer to 25. He's done a lot of riding, rounding up cows, camping, etc. I've done some of that with him. I miss it. I have a great pair of dress cowboy boots...brown at the bottom and robin's egg blue on the uppers. LOVE them. My riding boots are grimy and filthy!
