Sew & Tell Friday #41

I almost didn't bother posting today.  Really not much to show.  I spent most of the day looking for my walking foot, free motion foot and extra bobbins for my Janome.  I never did find them and ended up driving to my LQS and replacing them since I need them in the morning for a workshop.  That's what I get for being so disorganized.  Ugh!

I think I showed my birdhouse last week, but I embellished it some and now it is 100% 99% finished...it still needs a label.

Last week the stitching in the ditch was done, the attempted free motion quilting was started and then ripped out before deciding on a different approach.

Can you see how I just did some primitive free motion quilting around the trees in the border and added more primitive trees in the open border spaces?  I kind of like the simple, outlined look it gives.  What do you think?

You may recall I said last week that even after adding the binding it needed something.  Today I added the bird button, embroidered around the bird in the center of the house, and added some slow stitching around the house. These stitches were just done on the top layer...they don't go through to the back.   I had a hard time finding bird buttons and never really did find what I was envisioning.  However, I do like hummingbirds so I guess this one will work.

Hope you get a chance to see all the projects over at Amy's.

Have an amazing weekend!!!
