Learning

Saturday our guild had a workshop with Juanita Yeager.  She had visited our guild several months ago and showed us her beautiful art quilts.

Juanita is a great teacher...patient, knowledgeable, and entertaining!  She made machine quilting seem easy (but I know better) by giving us plenty of guidance, advice and hands on demonstrations.  Additionally, we learned techniques for binding and facing.

Thanks Michele for the picture.
The first thing Juanita had us do was quilt our name.  I am so glad my name is short, unlike Alejandrina who was sitting next to me!  I practiced her techniques on several quilt sandwiches.  I still have a ways to go before I can comfortably use these techniques on a bed quilt, but I am confident that with practice I'll eventually get there ;-)

Now, to find time to practice!  Have an amazing day!!!!
