Among other gifts, he received a very special package from his aunt. She knitted him this fabulously beautiful scarf and hat in his favorite color! The yarn is baby alpaca from Peru, and is super, super soft!
She wrote the sweetest note too explaining how it was really a gift from the whole family in that his grandmother had taught all three of her daughters to knit. (When I get home I'll have to share a picture of the gorgeous sweater my mother-in-law knitted me many years ago.)
I did get permission to post a picture of my husband sporting his new knitted accessories;-). I'll try and get a better photo when we get to Cody, Wyoming (my husband wants to visit the Cowboy Museum for his birthday).....yeehaw!

ReplyDeleteOh Happy, Happy Birthday to your husband. The hat and scarf are just beautiful...I mean, handsome. If you get a chance while in Cody, if you haven't been there, take some time to see the Plains Indians Museum (it may be the same one you're going to...not sure), but it has a wealth of gorgeous western art in addition to the other displays. The girls and I spent an entire day walking around it.
