Fabric Fun

I received my first order of fabric from Hancock of Paducah!!!!  What fun it was to open the package.  My daughter happened to be with me during the grand opening, and we each put dibs on the fabric we wanted for our quilts.  I told her there was plenty to go around, and I share.

There was no rhyme or reason to my ordering.  I have a few ideas swirling around in my head for a couple of quilts, and I was in the mood for fun, colorful prints.  This is my first purchase of Kaffe Fassett fabrics since, as far as I know, my local quilt shop does not stock any.  I also ordered some new Kaufman fabrics and some Moda solids.

Here is a sneak peak of fabric I plan to use for a Margaret's Hope Chest quilt.  If I am able to get some sewing time in, I plan to show it on Sew and Tell Friday.  That's my goal, anyway.

  1. I'm a fan of Kaffe Fassett fabric, the colors, the designs, it all appeals to me! I've never bought any because I've never been sure what to do with it. I'll be eager to see what you make.
