Book Club

You know, I used to be in a book club with a great group of women of different ages and walks of life.

We met once a month taking turns at each other's homes or a restaurant of our choosing.  I read some great books (and some not so great), ate some terrific food, made new friends and participated in very interesting conversations.

Now it seems these are the only kinds of books I'm interested in reading.   Even if I don't make the patterns described in these books, I derive great inspiration from them.  As far as I know, there aren't any monthly quilting book clubs in my area ;-)

Counting down until school starts.  This is the last day of freedom...my middlest has his senior portrait appointment, and my youngest meets her teacher.  I have a feeling this school year will fly by.

I'll miss the lazy days of summer but am kind of looking forward to some sewing time to myself.

Have an amazing day!

  1. I had all four of my granddaughters here yesterday and found myself looking forward to the start of the school year too! It's been nice having them all this summer, but I'm ready to have some time to myself again!

  4. I miss being in a book club too! I do like the new books you've been reading lately. I see a couple I might need to check out. It does seem like the lazy days of summer are whizzing by us, doesn't it?!
