What a Game!

I'm not sure how many football fans are out there, but can I just say "WHO DAT"?  Growing up  on the Gulf Coast, the Aints Saints were Our Team.  So happy to see them go to and win The Superbowl!!!!

Because we slept really late of the game last night, this post was delayed somewhat.  The Friendship Quilt is tied in a ribbon and ready to go to its new home.  I'm going to miss her it.

Thank you to all of you who left comments Friday regarding my 100th post.  I enjoyed reading the many nice and gracious comments.  It left me feeling all warm and fuzzy!  I am still in the process of replying to them, and to checking out the other Sew and Tell Friday finishes.

My random number generator lovely assistant wrote the names of all the lovely commenters on strips of paper and put them in this basket.  (Who says you can have too many Longaberger baskets?)

I have given up on my lovely assistant.  She is still sleeping after last night's celebration.  So I had my handsome assistant draw the name of the winner (on the condition that I not show his face).

The winner is Vicki at I Sew Crooked who said, "I love those colors! Congratulations on your 100th Post! Looking forward to reading the next 100 as well!".  How exciting!  It appears from her blog, Vicki is a new blogger and new quilter.  Welcome, Vicki, to "the dark side" ;-)  Vicki, please contact me as I do not have an email address for you.  I did post a comment on Vicki's blog to let her know.

Karen of Sewing Tales asked how my Office to Studio makeover was coming along.  It is coming along....slowly.  I feel like I take a few steps forward, but then after a sewing project, I take several steps back.   I organized my quilt books and magazines with room to add more.  I am sure the empty shelves will not be empty for too long.  (You can click here if you are brave enough to see the before pictures.)

I am hoping to do more organizing this week as I probably will not get much of a chance to sew.  The kids are out of school for Winter Break.  Normally, we would be in Montana skiing, but we are hanging out at home due to soccer playoffs.  The next game is Tuesday.

Have an amazing day!!!!

  2. Studio is looking good. Somtimes these things evolve over time as you get a better feel for where you want things/things you use more often etc. My sewing corner is always evolving but its more because of lack of space so I try to come up with ideas that will help free up space and make it sort of tidy.

  3. I'm so excited to have won your friendship block! At last, I've figured out that I didn't have the email enabled on my rather new blog. Separate email sent to you, but you can also reach me through my email on the blog. Nothing like being new, not so bright, and lucky!!!! Thanks again --
