Holy Cow

Did we have an awesome OMQG meeting yesterday or what?!?!!

Our guild was fortunate to have gifted art quilter Juanita Yeager present a trunk show of her fabulous work.

Juanita started the program with a slide show (sorry pictures didn't turn out well) of her quilts, which is a good thing as many of them are now hanging in museums, hospital and private homes.

As beautiful as her quilts are on a projection screen and online, there is no comparison to actually seeing them up close and personal!  Juanita gave a one-woman show and tell displaying one gorgeous quilt after another after another.  There was so much to see and touch and feel and photograph, it was sensory overload!!!  The above quilt is one of my favorites, and I didn't even get a full size view or a closeup....I was too busy examining the detailed stitching and quilting to concentrate on picture taking.

Can you see the stitching and quilting lines?  Incredible!  And check out the gorgeous colors in her fabric!

Here's a close-up.  You can see more pictures from the meeting on our Flickr page.

One last shot of our members enjoying the slide show.  Today is that little girl's in the front eleventh birthday.  Happy Birthday sweetie pie!

Have an amazing day!!
