Your Name Here

Our guild has a basket that is raffled off each month.  The winner brings the basket back the next month filled with unwanted and/or excess sewing supplies.  Ticket sales go to our teachers fund.

This month I won the basket and was happy for the opportunity to declutter my sewing lab.  After putting aside a few items for the guild basket, I realized I had more decluttering to do....enough for more than a few baskets if you know what I mean ;-)

So I filled this Priority Mail flat rate box with quilting  books and a quilt kit and will send it to an interested reader (has to be in the United States since it is a USPS box).  If more than one person is interested, I will randomly choose from the comments left on this post.

There are six quilt books and a quilt kit with the Pazzo pattern and fabric including binding.  I'm not sure if the backing fabric is included in the kit or not, but the LQS (now out of business sadly) did a good job of labeling certain fabrics so you know what is what.

I'm thinking this decluttering giveaway is a brilliant idea to make room for more fabric!
Look for more of these to come ;-)
Happy stitching!

  1. I am always amazed at the generosity of quilters, especially you and your guild!! I hesitated to post a comment today...goodness knows I have been the recipient of your decluttering in the past. But, I am WAY to pratical to pass this up. Besides, I have learned that the random number generator just does not like me ;-)

    1. Ha! Michelle, I was thinking of you as I read this post and looked at the pics! And, Rene, I do not need more stuff, but I love your guild's raffle idea and I may have to "borrow" it for our guild...

  2. I'm with your sis, random number generator usually avoids me too. Give Michelle a second chance if my number miraculously comes up. We need to keep enabling that talent.

  3. This is a fabulous idea! I live in Canada, but could mail it to my sister's in Michigan to pick up when I visit :) Love that guild idea!

  4. Yes, decluttering/destashing is a great idea. In theory, at least. I have been destashing, and then went to KC and stocked up. What??

  5. What a fabulous idea! I would be thrilled to win your box of goodies~ the Pazzo pattern looks really cool. In my efforts to de-stash, I have a small box of strips looking for a way to use them, and the strip book might hold the answer for me. Thanks so much for the chance!!

  6. I love this way of decluttering. I just bought WAYYYY too much at Market and will declutter. Mr Random seems to like me though, so give mine to Michelle if my number comes up! :-) She could use the sunshine/happy!

  7. What a great way to declutter! I should do the same instead of entering giveaways for more stuff...but what's the fun in that? ;o)
