I finally assembled my 101 blocks for Rachel's Modern Siggy Swap.
This picture is before threads being clipped. Now for the hardest part....signing them. My handwriting isn't the neatest. The fabric used for my blocks is Moda's Eden.
Sherri listed her February quilting goals on her blog the other day. I'm thinking I could use some motivation and direction right now, so I am doing the same.
#1) Sign all 101 siggy blocks and put in the mail.
#2) Decide on Liberated Amish Quilt Challenge design. (My book should arrive today.)
#3) Actually start working on this quilt project.
#4) Complete at least one Dear Jane block - probably liberated.
#5) Complete this charity quilt.
#6) Make small Valentine quilt. (The picture is in my head.)
#7) Make this quilt.
I'll let you know how setting these goals help me. I am a procrastinator and work better under pressure with a deadline.
Have an amazing day!!!
Yay for finishing the siggy blocks...that is on my list for Saturday! I think I'm going to have to order that Amish quilt book too...I keep seeing it on several blogs! Oh, and you'll love State Fair...fun pattern!
ReplyDeleteGo on flickr and read up about signing the blocks. Rachels guidance of buying the fine point sharpie is what saved my sanity. I also taped each one so they didn't move around.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great set off goals. My mother always said plan mopre than you can get finished because you might surprise yourself.
Good luck with all those fun goals! I'm here killing time I should use to bind my auction quilt...don't do that!
ReplyDeleteYOu've got some great/lovely goals/quilts. I'm also thinking and not quite working on that lib. amish. That's next on my LONG list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list. Looking forward to hearing how things go and maybe a photo or two of any finishes.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your list of projects, lets me know that you and Max will be spending quality time in your studio.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me thinking about that Dear Jane quilt.....it might be a nice long term project. State Fair, that's the first time I've seen that pattern and I like it! Good Luck with all your goals, not to be a Debbie Downer, but you've only got 2 weeks and 4 days left in this month!
