Happy Friday!!! It's time for another Sew and Tell Friday!!! This post was delayed a little as I was waiting for the sun to rise so I could get some daytime pictures. Wouldn't you know, it is cloudy and rainy?
I have two 1 and 3/4 projects to share today.
I love this quilt so much that I decided to make another one. This is my 3/4 completed project. I really wanted to share it today so here it is hanging out on my lounge chairs.
Most of these fabrics are charm squares from April Cornell's A Little Romance. There is a little bit of Amy Butler in there as well along with KONA snow for the background.
Can you guess the reason for the wonky block above? I hope it looks like a "100" to signify this is my 100th post. However, I didn't want it to look too obvious as this quilt is destined for charity.
This mini quilt is 100% complete! This Friendship Block was made from Block Party's tutorial/quilt along. This is my first friendship block, and I had so much fun making it. Can't wait to make more.
I really love these fabrics!!!! I ordered these from an Etsy shop not really knowing what I was getting, and they turned out to be these beautiful Tina Givens prints. I quilted the Friendship Quilt in random criss crossing straight lines. The binding was sewn on last night during my son's soccer playoff game. (They won and move on to the District Semi-Finals...Yeah!)
The backing fabric is Amy Butler that I bought at my LQS. Look at the bottom right. Can you see a theme emerging here?
I did another wonky "100" block, this time incorporating it into my label. I am giving this Friendship Quilt away to celebrate my 100th post. I thought it appropriate to use the Friendship Block considering all the wonderful friends I have made through blogging. I do consider all of you my friends, and I so appreciate your kind comments and encouraging support. Thank you!!!
I will randomly select a winner Sunday evening Midnight Eastern Standard time from all the comments left on this post through then. Depending on how the Super Bowl party goes, I hope to announce the winner Monday morning.
Don't forget to click on the Sew and Tell Friday button and see all the wonderful projects completed this week.
Another reminder, is my good friend Thelma celebrated her 100th post yesterday. If you haven't done so, I encourage you to head over there and check out her blog. It is amazing!!! (I think her giveaway is also still open until sometime today.)
I am meeting friends for coffee and friends for lunch today to celebrate my 100th post. Of course, these friends are unaware of the milestones that go on here in Blogland, but I love them anyway!
Have an amazing weekend!!!!

ReplyDeleteCreativity just oozes from you (which makes me a little green and nauseous at the same time LOL) with this quilt. The "100" was so subtle, I missed it oggling the fabrics and randomness, wonkiness of it all!
