Today I get to spend a few hours in my studio!!!
I pulled these string blocks and strings from my closet. I won them a while back from Cluck Cluck Sew, who, thankfully, was tired of them. I am going to make some more blocks from her unwanted strings and make them into a quilt for our guild's charity project.
After looking through these magazines, I'm rethinking the layout of my studio and did some more rearranging last night. I need to just make a decision and move on, but I can't seem to do that. Am I the only one that has this problem?
I don't know if you ever saw this, but there was an online studio tour that quilting arts held, so lots of good ideas to look at. It's here: http://quiltingarts.com/blogs/in_the_studio_with_cate/archive/2009/10/02/bloggers-and-interweave-authors-open-their-studios-this-saturday-october-3.aspx
ReplyDeleteAlso, Annie Smith did a podcast recently talking about her major studio re-do that might be worth a listen. She had a book that she said was her favorite regarding setting up a studio, but I don't remember what it was.
when you're sewing the strings together - do you use the paper pieing method... or do you just sew strings together?
