Yesterday was the second meeting of the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild. We missed a couple of our members, but we welcomed two newcomers. It was another fun meeting!
Among other activities, Beth and Sonia demonstrated two different techniques for binding, charity projects were discussed, and there was fabulous Show and Tell.
Hope made some fabulous placemats and napkins from fabric leftover from her sister's quilt.
I love this fun wonky star mini quilt made by Sonia.
Sonia also brought in her Dear Jane quilt top. It makes me anxious for the Dear Jane class I registered for at Material Girl to start.
Jalna (one of our newcomers) brought this beautiful applique and silk ribbon embroidery quilt.
Linda (another newcomer) showed off her first quilt. Didn't she do a great job! Love that chenille teddy bear.
Marga made this beautiful dyed, discharged silkscreen scarf and
a very cool name badge!
Believe it or not, these are just some of the Show and Tell projects. You can go to our Flickr page and see them all.
I saw this bottle of wine and had to buy it. Something about the name spoke to me ;-)
Today I plan to finish the Feeling Groovy quilt so that Friday I can post pictures for Sew and Tell so that I can move on to other projects. Yeah!!
Have an amazing day!!
Lots of inspiration! Love all those quilts! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteshoo fly - like it! thanks for sharing the pics!
ReplyDeleteI love the wonky stars. And the appliqued squares look like tiles- are they turned or raw edged?
