The last of 2015 bee blocks were made literally the last days of 2015. What can I say? "I won't be late in 2016!" ?
Stephanie wanted flying geese blocks to add to her Gorgeous Gertie MCM Bee blocks.
These two blocks were made while on Christmas break in Montana. Note to self: next time bring more fabrics and take a picture of finished blocks. I thought I had planned my block making supplies sufficiently, but I only had enough of the appropriate fabrics to make Stephanie eight flying geese, and there were more duplications in Shelly's block that I wanted, but hey they are finished!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your 2016 is off to a great start!
Fun to see your blocks! Here's to more Sew Sisters sewing together in 2016!
ReplyDeleteThose turned out great! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBoth blocks are so fun! I really like that herringbone and may tackle something like that later this year.
ReplyDeleteHi Rene,
ReplyDeleteOh! I like those blocks! The border/herringbone are very interesting. :)
That herringbone block eats a lot of fabric; your block is gor-ge-ous! Aren't there quilt shops in MT for when you run out of fabric????
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so fun! I'd drive myself crazy trying to figure out what to bring to sew for an extended period of time, so any sewing getting done is wonderful in my book!
ReplyDeleteI love the blocks you've made. Learning from our SewDays, I'd much rather have too little than "more than I can use."
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see if you finish things earlier in 2016! Good luck with that.
I really like that improv herringbone block. Might need to make some of those.
