Love was hand appliquéd, hand pieced and hand quilted by the talented Yumi from Japan. I love how the quilting lines echo the heart shape throughout.
As much as I like making these mini quilts, I also like supporting the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative by purchasing them, especially ones made by quilters I "know".
I have not met Yumi but feel like I know her from our mutual friend Michele. Some day the three of us will quilt together....even if it is virtually via Skype!
Yumi will be so thrilled! I loved that one. Glad it found a good home.

Yumi
Yumi is an amazing quilter and such a wonderful facebook friend. I am so delighted to have her join in my/our Liberated Quilting Challenge group. The libquilters yahoo message board quilters have asked so many questions about her quilts after I uploaded them into my group album..she's a mini celebrity right now! We love you, Yumi! And you, Missy...this is a wonderful purchase and right now we truly need buyers and love them (you) dearly. Way to go, Rene'!
